By combining a trademark Neo-Scandinavian aesthetic with French-born, utilitarian heritage, we are given collaborative capsule that reimagines two iconic silhouettes in celebration of Rains joining Palladium for a momentous occasion.
As standard, Rains design team blends everyday wearability with functional yet waterproof fabrics, touching base with the classical rubber raincoat before taking a contemporary step towards catering for a growing streetwear scene - similar to that found at the heart of London’s fashion industry.
Whilst Rains’ story began in 2012, we have to dive a little deeper before finding day one for Lyon’s footwear brand. In fact, Palladium saw the light of day over 100 years ago, 1920 to be exact - though, it wasn’t until 1947 that boots replaced the core product making them a household name, tyres! Since then, Palladium boots have scaled active volcanoes, competed on-court and ran the street of New York, even launching one of the very first eco-shoe lines in 1991.
Now for a closer look at the footwear that gives everyone their own freedom to explore the great outdoors, a direction heralding the same inspiration from which Rains was born.
Our low-cut Pallashock HKR Rains shoe builds on Palladium’s core Pallashock outsole and EVA cushioned midsole, developed to maintain high traction and comfort - whatever the weather! Once on foot, you’ll notice the breathable sock liner adds another layer of cushioning via tactical perforations throughout.
Taking exploration to all new heights, the Pampa Rains boot is clad in more ballistic nylon and neoprene than its low-slung counterpart, sat upon a high-traction, single molded sole-unit leading into a supportive heel cup.
Nothing says adventure-ready like durable textile choices, rubber TPU D-lacing and two-tone laces. Our collaborators crowned their capsule with branding in three locations across the upper.
Join us in welcoming the Palladium x Rains two-part capsule to TOWER’s spring rotation, providing an updated take on the Pallashock and Pampa styles. Who can say no to a seasonal staple with technically-inspired fabrics, muted colourways and all-new components?
